Student Identification Cards
These cards are an easy and efficient way to keep track of your students interests and learning styles. I used to put all of the information about my students in a chart, but I've found the cards makes differentiation MUCH easier.
I typically use a 3 x 5 index card and I have the students fill out the cards themselves in the following format. You can customize the card to your specifications. Having the information on separate cards also makes it easier to put students in flexible learning groups according to learning style or interest.
FRONT
BACK
The most important pieces of information on the card are the learning styles and multiple intelligences; everything else is just one more way to get to know the students. Once the cards are complete, you can sort the students by any of the categories you have. It makes creating flexible grouping for cooperative learning projects or seating charts significantly easier.

BACK
- On the unlined side, I have my students design a business card for their future selves.
